Sealing MDF
Sealing MDF
Sealing MDF is not 100% necessary for crafting, but LaserworksUK highly recommended that you do so, as this will allow you to get the best possible finish when decorating your crafts. We do recommend that you seal all the mdf surfaces and especially the edges, using a diluted pva glue or primer prior to painting.
You can use most paints and sprays to decorate including Furniture paints, Emulsions and Acrylic sprays and Acrylic paints.
Acrylic paints will give you the best possible finish it is easy to apply and mix colours. A little paint goes a long way.
Make sure you sand between coats with a 240 grit sandpaper or higher.
Application with a foam brush or roller will give you the best finish with outstanding results.

Delivery is via Royal Mail's 24 or 48 hour services. Delivered is normally within 1 to 2 working days. Orders are shipped the same day if you order before 2pm, but at busy times this can take up to 24 hours. Orders placed after the cut off time will be shipped the next working day. If you have purchased a bespoke item? then at busy times your order may get slightly delayed, as these are not off-the-shelf items as they are made to order. Wooden MDF Rings - Multi sizes available.
MDF Rings are cut from 3.2mm Medite MDF. They are mainly used by crafters for making Hanging Mobile Dream Catcher, these can be used as the framework that supports your hanging items.
The rings outline shapes are supplied as blanks that can be enhanced using Spray paints, stains, inks, paints, varnish, oils, decoupage, and Macramé styles.
They are Ideal to use in children's Nursery, Playrooms, and Bedrooms. Etc. Once decorated to your liking, you can end up with some stunning Hanging Mobile results.
We also sell a large range of outline shapes in our store including our top selling Cloud Outline Shapes, these are also used for creating children's hanging mobiles.
Wooden MDF Rings are available to order in a range of Sizes and Pack quantities.

If you require a larger MDF Rings? then please contact us and we can quote and make you a custom order! But please know that anything over the largest size of 300mm will require shipping via a courier, and this will also reflect on the price of the item because of the size of the package.

MDF Cut Edges
MDF Cut Edges
Laser Cutting: The laser cutting process will leave a medium brown finish to the edges of the MDF after the laser cutting process has finished. Any laser processing marks to the top and bottom of the mdf can be removed by using a light grade sandpaper or by simply painting over them.
CNC Cutting: If your item was cut on one of our CNC router machine you will have no burnt edges, the edges will be clean and ready for you decorate.
